Does it support decision branches?
These layouts show a linear or looping flow, which covers most processes. For yes/no branches, put the outcomes on indented lines and use a tree layout in the editor, or keep each path as its own flow.
How do I order the steps?
Top to bottom. The first line under your title is the first step, and arrows follow the order you write.
When should I use the loop layout?
Use it for processes that repeat, like a feedback cycle or a sprint. The last step connects back to the first.
Is this flowchart maker really free?
Yes. You can write, preview, switch layouts, and download a PNG or SVG without an account or a card. Signing up is only needed for AI drafting and cloud sync.
Does this page use AI?
No. The preview follows your lines exactly: each line becomes an item, a colon adds a description, and indentation adds a branch. Nothing is invented. If you want AI to draft or rewrite a diagram, open it in the editor and sign up for 10 free AI credits a month.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The diagram is drawn in your browser. When you choose Open in editor, it's saved to this browser's local storage, not to a server, unless you sign in and turn on sync.
Can I edit the flowchart later?
Yes. Open in editor saves it as a board in this browser, so you can come back, change the text, add diagrams, and export again.
